“Graz Backstage” examines the past, present and future of urban supply and disposal infrastructure.
Distribution centres are viewed not only as singular sites but also as “nodes” without which a modern-day city can no longer exist.
In workshops with logistics experts, the aim is to research, map and project historical and current developments. Three-dimensional network sculptures with audio tracks reflect the partially fictionalised narratives in selected nodes of this milieu. Coach excursions allow a wider public to experience these places.
