With astonishingly simple means, this project visualises decisions in public space that influence our social lives.
In cooperation with students of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and the University of Technology, the Vienna-based meyerholdt unltd. theatre association will be carrying out the “DMP – Decision Making Process” project in public space in Graz.
With a system of barricade tape and signs, the plan is to initiate a decision situation at branch points that forces the public to continue on their way to the left or right of the barricade tape.
The decision situations are geared to universally understood social parameters concerning world view, religion, aesthetics or morals, and they also include pressing decisions in public life.
The idea of the “Decision Making Process” is to split up and distribute the individual’s possibilities of perception and experience and to enable exclusive perspectives.
