Grazer Slamsommer

Discourse with a difference, and hip: The “Grazer Sommerslam” is a festival for the spoken word and consists of three different poetry slam events with similar themes:

1. “Best of Poetry Slam – The Future is Now!”: Six stage poets are invited to present their texts on questions of the future in performances lasting a whole evening.

2.  „ “Urban Utopia?!”: Poets in Graz share their thoughts about Graz, sketching out poetic maps of the city, building edifices of word blocks, and tearing down exclusive walls.
3.  “We Always Knew! – Dead Or Alive Poetry Slam”: Three poets face off with three actors playing dead artists, bringing their thoughts about the present and the future onto the stage.

The “Grazer Sommerslam” is being organised by the Austrian poetry slam master Christoph Steiner and the author and slam-poet Yannick Steinkellner.
